We moved on to the standard variable tariff on the 25th of October. Our smart meter is still showing the Old lower tariff but we were on. This gives the illusion that we are paying a lot less for our gas and electricity than we actually are and makes budgeting next to impossible. We emailed eon with no reply. Can anybody offer any insight? Thanks.
Smart meter still showing old tariff

Morning.
We moved on to the standard variable tariff on the 25th of October. Our smart meter is still showing the Old lower tariff but we were on. This gives the illusion that we are paying a lot less for our gas and electricity than we actually are and makes budgeting next to impossible. We emailed eon with no reply. You will have to contact customer service by any means shown here.
I chose WhatsApp but it took two weeks in a queue to get proper contact with an advisor. The electric tariff was updated and now I've had to try again to get the gas one updated.
You will need a great deal of patience.
In the meantime, you can get a good idea of your daily spend by multiplying your usage in kWh by your tariff rates and adding the standing charge. After a couple of days you see the figure on the IHD and immediately get an idea of what the cost actually is. Not perfect but it's something.Last edited by JoeSoap; 29-10-22 at 09:50. I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
