I just moved to UK, and I am still not sure how to pay my electricity bills. I moved in this property at the beginning of September, but I haven’t received any bill/statement. I checked on Eon next website it shows that my tariff is Next Flex - Prepayment. The meter in this property is a smart meter. When will I receive the first statement? Do I pay the bill when I receive the statement? Or, do I need to top up the meter in some way?

If it's a Prepayment meter, you should have a card or a key for it which you then take to a Post Office or any shop with a PayPoint facility and then buy your top-ups there. You then go home, insert your key or card into the meter and it is then credited with your top-up payment.
Your statement/bill is then just for information purposes.
I think that's how it works, if I remember correctly?
