Other companies have a different scheme. The Octopus scheme, for instance, is a 'beta' and actually nothing to do with FIT. It does the same job, pay you for your export, but isn't actually an OFGEM regulated FIT scheme. FIT per se actually ended this year. Existing FIT customers will continue to get FIT payments, but these are set by OFFGEM and not by individual energy suppliers.
So, good luck with Octopus, I hope it works out for you but they are two very different schemes. Octopus are 'not paying more for FIT', as it isn't actually FIT but something completely different.

It seems to be EoN policy to buy electricity at 3p/kWh from you because supplier switching is slow this year, and sell that electricity to any neighbour on your phase in your street at 52p/kWh (34p/kWh cost +17.0p/kWh subsidy) and you should write to your local MP because somebody is getting 17.0p/kWh subsidy for every unit of electricity which you export, at the expense of every honest future taxpayer.

Hey, 3p is 3p and it is important to get that 3p if you are owed it! I am sorry to hear that this matter resulted in a switch and I am sorry that we have been so hard to contact!

I'm pretty sure they are not owed 3p. The problem is E.on only pay 3p per KWh produced but charge 53p per KWh consumed. Feels a lot like day light robbery 😜
