Nothing arrived yet - getting a little close for comfort in terms of having to make a decision before April 1st 🤔 without all the relevant information/answers pertaining to those on fixed-tariffs (such Next Online V18, V19 etc etc) that you know about. 🍺

Me too. When I checked my online account the tariff details for pre and post 1April were exactly the same.
I’d only gone in to check my Direct debit amount, as the email had an attachment notifying me of a change in the amount of the DD. I thought this a bit underhand, why it could not have been in the body of the email was beyond my comprehension. Yes I had been notified, but not with enough openness- I could easily have missed the attachment. In retaliation I put the DD down as much as I could - especially as tariffs are likely to decline in 3 months time.Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless. -

Of course they should dramatically reduce. The wholesale price is now lower than it was before they calculated last April's price hikes and a sixth of what it was when they picked the September peak value to hike the prices again in October. On the basis of what wholesale gas prices OFGEM used to calculate the caps, electricity should be 21p or so a unit and gas around 6p come June, and getting lower still later in the year.
Same as petrol and diesel prices at the pumps though, price drops always come through slower than price increases.Last edited by retrotecchie; 25-03-23 at 07:01.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons. -
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.

They seem to have informed Next Flex customers of the new prices though. I had my new rates through two days ago. I doubt there will be anything through over the weekend. -

Any change will be comparatively minor, because of the EPG. However the EPG is unlikely to apply from July onwards. Whether your fix will be beneficial then will require some quick thinking in June. -

@WizzyWigg
the July prices will be limited only by the OFGEM price cap - it’ll be that or your fixed rate and the decision will be yours alone.
