I hope someone can clarify something for me please.

My DD wasn't taken on the 1st October (which I thought was due to the energy bill support discount and was told I had agreed to a payment holiday due to warm home discount which was new to me as not something I'd be entitled to nor did I ask for) but I thought that because my DD was marginally less than the monthly amount to be credited, I would have my account credited with the difference. This doesn't appear to be the case and that my account has actually been credited with the £66.

Not sure if this is correct or not but I can tell you I am so very confused as to what is what!!!

That all sounds right to me. If your DD was less than the EBSS then you will pay no DD and your account will be credited with £66.

Thank you very much and that does make sense; I just confused by it all.
