My DD usually goes out on the 1st of every month. Eon Next have changed the amount to £0 (assume as it is less than the £66/67 credit from the government) so no DD has gone out this month. app says starting from 1st October I will receive a credit but that hasn’t happened.
I’ve tried WhatsApp and Facebook but have had no reply for several days and if I try and ring I just end up on hold for over 30 mins with no ide how long before someone may answer.
appreciate people are busy but an idea of what is happening would be good as I’ve had no contact at all.
There are delays at present due to all the changes but your credit should appear on your account soon. Customer service are overwhelmed at present so a lot of patience is needed.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
I'm in the same position as you, my Direct Debit is less than £66 and also goes out on the first of the month.
Don't worry, the situation is being monitored and hopefully the £66 will appear on our accounts tomorrow. I'll be checking mine in the morning, if it hasn't appeared and/or I have anymore information I'll post it.

Marlow Energy Specialist - DigiOps - Team Zeus (who seems to be more interested in adding emojis to their signature than answering questions) answered my whatsapp message from 27/09/2022 and as soon as I mentioned complaint has now ignored me. This seems to be EONS modus operandi ignore people and hope they go away.
I am pretty p... annoyed that there is NO update to customers, NO common message and just seems a general mess up.
If your Direct Debit is less than £67 then your payments will be placed on a payment holiday until the 6 month government support ends
Doesn't mention what's happening with the remaining difference. (in my case £21/22
I think the full £66/67 will go to your energy account. I have read previously that the difference (£21/22 in your case) would be credited back to your bank account.
This is the particular part of the Government Guidance that I think applies:
"Where a refund or reduction of the full value of the EBSS payment is not possible because the EBSS payment is greater than the amount of the customer’s Direct Debit, a credit should be made to the energy account of an amount equal to the balance between the EBSS payment and the amount reduced or refunded. This could include putting the customer on payment holiday (by reducing the Direct Debit to £0) and crediting the account by the balance of the EBSS amount."
Personally I'm not fussed where the difference goes but like you, I think I'll be happier when the credit is visible in my energy account, at least then I'll know the anwser for certain.
it wil be in your account to be used in subsequent months. Try to relax, their response isn’t perfect but it will come right soon enough. ask yourself this question- am I actually out of pocket?
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
