Please don't shoot me down; I'm just passing on info given for E.on Next customers on FIXED tariffs...

I just called them and spoke to a helpful rep. I'm on a two year V18 fix, and think it will be better in my case to go onto a variable rate. I'm still trying to work that out though.
Accounts / website has still not updated any price drops on fixes, but this will not be happening now anyway...

The rep read out the E.on updates on her system from yesterday and this morning, and E.on states:
'Because of the logistics of changing fixed rates, all customers that are financially disadvantaged, will be automatically moved onto the variable Flex tariff'

The rep said this *should* happen by early next week, along with advising emails going out to customers, but added that if a tariff switch has not taken place within two weeks, to call them again and ask for a manual switch over the phone.
She also added, that if we want to, we'll be able to switch back onto the fixed rate...

It's a case of wait and see. It's a big mess, but hopefully we should know more very soon.
Basically there's no point in going online daily to check fixed rates anymore, as they won't show a change 😐

Thanks for this. There is also a post here that deals with those on fixed tariffs.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
