Morning All,
I have just logged onto my account to notice that my unit rate has changed which was expected but the unit rate I'm now currently paying is more than the price cap. My Electric is now 50.87p/kwh when the cap is set at 34p/kwh also the same with gas 14.66p/kwh cap is set at 10p/kwh, anyone else noticed this and do we know if EON are doing anything about it.
Can't seem to contact them as the don't seem to open on a Saturday.
I noticed yesterday the higher charge of 50p per Kwh had already been applied . I did get through yesterday and asked the question, and the young lady’s reply was , they must have applied Vat ? Where did you see the 34p charge ???? My limited math 5% if 34 is 1.7 not 16 . What is happening anyone know .
I am the same, I received notification rate to change to 33p per unit yet today it shows 50p per unit. Not open today and no notification on another increase. I can only hope this is an error as is rectified as everyone else I know around 33p how can eonnext have a rate much higher than other providers?
@Zak
Yes my rates are showing the same increase and I thought the same about why is it so much higher than the price cap. A friend is with British Gas and their unit price is 33p per kWh, which is what I was expecting. Tried contacting but no luck. Just hope it's an error!
