Anyone know why my account is now showing two separate direct debit readings? My direct debit section says this : from 6/10/22 you will be paying 170.70 and from 1/10/22 you will be paying 133.70. My current direct debit amount is 200 so I'm assuming the latter amount is including the energy discount but why are there two amounts shown? Thanks in advance for any help
The key is in the dares. I imagine it will be 170.70 less the 67 discount from November 1, just the way it's presented is rather shoddy.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
@cammyb1991 I have the same too, mine says this From 06/10/2022, you'll be paying£190.54
Each month on the 28th
and
from 01/10/2022, you'll be paying£64.20
Each month on the 28th
But then also tells me this,
Our recommended amount
Based on your usage we recommend a monthly payment of £257.54. Your current monthly payment is £131.20 so they want to almost double my Bill, absolute greed. No way am i paying that amount
Have a look at this link below and read my reply. Hopefully it will help you understand. One figure is your current DD less the £67 government help and the other is your increased DD including the help.
You will only pay one DD in October and the amount will depend on whether your DD date is before or after the 6th of the month. Then you will pay the higher amount from November until March. From April the £67 help will be removed.
If you choose almost any recent thread dealing with tariffs you will find lots more to confuse you.
My advice is to not worry and do nothing, just like I’m doing, and let it all unfold.
Also, your DD will alter if you use more or less energy than has been forecasted.
See my above post. It’s very difficult to comment without knowing your circumstances. As well as all the changes coming you may have had your last bill underestimated or have a debit on your account or maybe even just not enough credit going into the winter.
Yes it’s confusing for us all but there may be a bit more to your exact situation than we know about from your post.
