My smart meter hasnt worked since August so Eon have had no readings for my electricity. I've had to communicate with them through emails as no one ever answers their phones. When and if it is ever fixed and its after the 1st October will I get charged for the backlog at the higher price 😦 I cant take a reading as the screen is just blank
If your meter is blank then I don't know how they will work out what the backlog is, what you owe and at what rate. If the meter has been blank since August then hopefully you have a trail of emails where you have informed them of the issue as soon as you discovered it. Personally I would have waited for hours on the phone to make them aware of the issue and to get a response.
In essence, I think you really do need to speak to customer service on this ASAP.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
Thanks..I have waited hours and hours on the phone many many times..actually been listening to music for 2 hours today and still am. I have a long long trail of emails since August. At my wits end with it. I'm so much in credit that they have actually dropped my direct debit by 100 a month
