Can anyone tell me if I can pay my normal amount of direct debit when the energy discount comes into effect, instead of the revised amount with the discount applied ??
@Megsmom I have exchanged emails with three different people at Eon Next and frankly I was on the verge of asking if they had been recruited from classes of people with difficulties getting work. Their explanations to me about how the £66 for two months & £67 for four months , making a total of £400, actually works. I asked at the end a simple question will you credit my Energy account for those amounts each month, yes or no? They never answered and said 'Try to speak to someone on the phone (I tried 3 times gave up after 45 min on hold) try WhatsApp (no answer after 15 hours)' Eon Next service has literally gone down the drain.

I don't know why anyone couldn't explain it to you @SteveE9 as it's quite simple. If you pay by DD your DD is reduced by £66/67 for 6 months and the £66/67 is credited to your energy account. So if your DD is normally £100, it will change to £34 but your eon-next account will be credited with a total of £100. So your energy account receives the same amount each month, you pay less.
There's information here if you or anyone else needs it.
