I’ve recently cancelled my DD and will be paying in future on receipt of bills for what I actually use not what EON estimate (a big difference!). What I want to know instead of being billed monthly would I be able to go onto quarterly billing and just send meter readings every 3 months, or do EON only do monthly billing?
congratulations your bills will remain monthly and be more expensive by about £150 per annum for an average user. I hope you don’t have to worry about meeting the high winter bills around Christmas.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
If you submit a meter reading every month then Eon Next would not have to estimate. You can also pay by Variable DD so as to pay the actual bill amount every month whilst still receiving a direct debit discount.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.

Yes, she has said that. I was just advising what she can do in order to still pay on receipt of bills but not lose her DD discount. She can easily change to this method.
You may not have seen the How to Manage Your Direct Debit information sheet should you now wish to reinstate your DD. As mentioned there is an option to pay whole of bill via monthly Variable Direct Debit if that is a better fit for your circumstances. It works quite elegantly from my experience so long as regular meter reads are used.
