That's what I thought too, but look on your online account and mine says I'll be paying 51.32 p/kWh. In which case I might either kill myself or wait until I either starve or freeze to death.
on average its 34p but there are regional variations. Eon have got their implementation wrong and customers are panicking. If we all calm down it will be sorted retrospectively.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
So its wrong. We don't know the reason for all this but the rate will come down. The increase this October would have been near 80% but the government action means its "only" a 25% increase. Eon have been behind the required rate all the way through.
@SteveYoung I thought I was almost understanding what was going on. I put my meter readings in this morning, got an indication of the total bill ...... and then looked down the page to see what EONnext were proposing to charge me from today. It was an increase of 80% (as you said). Why do they put the wrong figure in? They know what the price cap is. EONnext really are useless in advising customers of the wrong amounts so often. It was definitely not good for my heart!
We're updating our prices to reflect the government's Energy Price Guarantee.
Please note that your bills will be correct but the changes are taking longer to reflect in your online account. You don't need to do anything as we are working hard to get this updated.
