Can anyone give me instruction on how to change the readings of my smart meter to every 30 mins?
Apparently this is a requirement for the next update to then Eon Next app.
In the mobile app, select ‘More’ at the bottom right of the page. Then select ‘Profile’ and scroll to the bottom. Under ‘Smart Data’ select ‘change data preference’.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
I think that is something smart meters do already. You just need to give explicit permission for the meter data to be collected at a to 30 minute resolution rather than per day resolution.
I imagine the new app will request the appropriate permissions from you. The Bright app by Hildebrand Technology Limited includes this in their terms and conditions. It can already show me 30 minute usage data from my E.ON Next provided SMETS2 gas and electricity meters.
