I’ve updated this to half hourly online but I’m not sure that it’s doing that? Is there a way to check this?

As far as I know there isn't a way to check through your online account. However, I use the Bright app and that will show your past usage down to 30 minute intervals. It's free to download and use and is quite good. if you want to use it this is what to look for in your app store:

Hi @Saz

If you go back into your account and it's showing half hourly reads then that's all you can do. As you've just installed the app today I would suggest giving it a day or two, I can't remember if the 30 minute reads showed straight away for me or not. Do you get anything if you select 'Hour' at the top?
