Also, when to monthly DD is set, I presume that Eon will igonore the £400.00 government help and any credit accumulated. At the end of the contract they will say " oh """"sorry we "forgot about that """. Very nice of you to bank with us.
Not showing tariff charges anymore for customers

I presume the reason for this is to scare customers. With my tariff ending very shortly I wanted to see what i would be scammed out of.

Try eonnext.com/tariff-search
If you are about 6 weeks away from the end of your current deal you should have some tariffs to consider in your online account by now. -
Hi @silverfox55
Yes they will ignore the £400 planned Government assistance, there's a separate thread on that here which is worth reading. In short, the £400 will be paid equally over 6 months and the current plan is that your Direct Debit payment will be reduced by this amount for the 6 month period.
Any credit that you have should be used when calculating your monthly payment for your new tariff. You can check it yourself as they state your forecasted usage in kWh and the tariff rates. I would also suggest checking that the forecasted usage is in the 'ball park' of previous years. The will be obvious variations in usage across the years due to how severe each winter has been and whether you've changed your heating system, double glazing etc. -
So, as I understand it. The customer has to change the DD amount everymonth to suit the disacount. This look like Eon are far too lazy to account for this in the first place and make the customer do their work for them.

Did you read the thread @silverfox55?
It states that the DD will be reduced automatically each month by £66 or £67, in the event that a DD is less than that then the difference will be applied as a credit to the customers account. The customer does not have to do anything nor can they change the DD amount anyway, that isn't how they work.
This method has probably been decided by the Government in conjunction with the major suppliers, it is not eon-next "making the customer do the work for them".
