Had a Smart meter fitted 10 days ago , turns out it is not so smart . After 2 days the connection was lost ,so no data , nothing . At the same time I noticed that the indicator lights on the meter are not lit .
I have tried contacting Eon Next , but no response , it is my understanding that the cost of these meters is included in our bills and that the Data Communications Company (DDC ) is responsible for the smart bit and charges the power supplier accordingly.
If this is the case why am I paying for a product that does not work and is clearly not fit for purpose ?
Why is EON paying DDC for a service that is not provided ?
Finally why is the government extolling the virtues of Smart meters when they are not smart at all ?
