My house is Northumberland with solid stone walls. However, part of it is a early 1960s extension, which I believe is cavity wall which has not been filled. The outer is stone and the inner is breeze block.
I'm trying to get this part of the house cavity wall insulated but am having a struggle finding a company to do it for me.
I wondered if Eon Next can help me insulate this part of the building?
I'm not necessarily looking for this to be paid for - I'm happy to pay for it to be done (although help wouldn't be rejected!). I just wondered if Eon Next have suppliers that could do the work for me?
Ahhh, we do not offer insulation, just gas & electric. I can understand why you would ask though, as E.ON Energy can help with loft insulation in some cases.
You might have to reach out to some local tradesmen that do this sort of thing, or perhaps reach out to your local council for some further advice?
Please let me know how you get on and all the best. 😊
I'd advise anyone to use a search engine to see what is available. I just searched for free cavity wall insulation and this Government ad popped up. Obviously the conditions will limit who qualifies, but for those that do qualify this is a no brainer!
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.

I emailed Eon Next and they told me Eon could help.
I emailed Eon and they told me that they are not working with my local authority (Northumberland County Council).
I contacted several suppliers found online. One told me that I won't find anyone who will insulate buildings with 'random stone' outside. Several others told me that it was too far to travel for just one house or that their surveyors/installers were too busy to travel.
So supplier support for energy saving seems to be smoke and mirrors.
I guess the erratic and inconsistent way that government funding is provided has just destroyed suppliers over the years so the UK capacity to insulate homes is virtually non-existent.
I don't think the capacity has gone- demand is high and the installers will go for what brings them the best price for the least effort. Your home seems to present some specific problems, although I can't imagine why random stone on the outside would prevent the filling of the cavity. Some homes in exposed sites are not suitable for cavity filling - you may be limited to internal insulation instead which of course reduces internal room dimensions.
Some of the schemes i highlighted above do not require you to be a customer of the energy supplier so are open to all..
Keep trying. If you can get it done you'll reap benefits for decades to come.

Many thanks for these ideas. I have tried Eon Next, Eon and UK Energy Management (NE), among several others. TBH, it feels like that have a target for getting government funding and because I don't fall easily into that bracket (although my wife and I are both over 60) and we are just one, moderately non-standard rural house, they just can't be bothered.
I'll keep trying, but I think I need to be a bit more self-reliant and complete the top-up loft insulation etc myself. I get the impression that there is no help for me out there.
