Hi. I’ve noticed when you switched me over to Eon next. The gas reading you used was completely estimated and is 3 times higher than previous usage. As a result I’ve been over billed quite a lot and the estimate reading is higher than what my meter is currently reading!! Despite being from months ago. If you look at my previous usage, it bears no resemblance to this estimate. January 2353 February 2402 March 2474 April 2476 May 2622 (Eon Estimate) Yesterdays reading 3rd June 2533 Please can this be amended? I remember submitting both a gas and electric reading at the time of switchover, the gas wasn’t recorded for some reason.
My Direct debit has now been more than doubled to £140! Which is incorrect. During a cost of living crisis I can't believe a mistake like this couldn't be spotted.
I have attempted to email eon customer services and the operator didn't understand the difference between an opening meter reading and a normal meter reading.
@retrob
if your DD is incorrect you can get your bank to refund it immediately. Eon will doubtless contact you in that case to sort the issue out.
one of the eon staff may drop in on this thread and be able to resolve as well.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
If you log in to your eon-next account you can enter your meter reading yourself, this should then generate an updated bill within a couple of days.
I did enter an up to date reading about 5 days ago. Coincidentally a new one has just been generated! I didin't think the opening estimate could be changed, so that's a relief. It appears to have been resolved. Thanks for your help everyone!
With smart meters its really difficult to even track. I noticed my direct debit drop off and no comms from EONnext. I think this service is pretty lousy. No idea if its correct, I was in credit now I have a big bill.
