Anyone notice how you can log in and then navigate around the forum group to find you are not logged in?
Just another problem to the coding of this site.
I have had the opposite experience with this site and the main site supplied by Octopus Energy. I think I first logged in back in December 2020 or January this year and since then have not had to supply my username and password to log in, in order to gain access to my account. I just click on the page I want and it just lets me in without ever prompting for my username and password.
For their main site that is a serious security failing. It's as if the session never expires, even after you update the browser to a new version. My Mum was moved over to Octopus Energy last year and when she asked me to help her with her account, I noticed the same thing. So it's an issue with their flaky Kraken platform. But recently my Mum told me that she was being prompted for her username and password each time she used the site, so it looks like that security failing has now been addressed but the version e.on next is using, has not.
There are two different providers in use. The main site is all sat on Kraken while the forum is based on gif gaffs stuff. It’s odd as both kraken and standing on the shoulders win awards and both giff gaff and octopus are award winning providers. Yet eon can’t even stop bots from spamming their forum. It’s pretty clear eon is doing things on the cheap.
the latest now is that I can’t get my NPower problem resolved as they don’t have enough staff because eon made them all redundant. They are absolute clowns
oh and don’t bother with the email to the CEO function either. He doesn’t reply
