I've started a new thread as the original seems to have got lost in the update IHD tariff post.
In the last thread, I changed my meter update frequency to half hourly as requested. Both meters are reporting to the Bright Cloud app but e.on are only logging Electricity Smart readings - last one on the 24th April at 17:28.
Both meters worked fine before the transition to e.on next.
Update 4th May. I've raised this with the support team via Facebook

Reason: Update
The gas meter (battery powered) sends its data to the communications hub attached to the electricity meter, which sends data to the DCC, where it is either sent or made accessible to the electricity supplier - when it all works as intended.
As a consumer its nigh on impossible to determine where things are going wrong because we have no access to the DCC - only via the supplier who tells us very little. The complexity of the system is incredible and it seems to me to have been over engineered/specified.
It similar to phone/broadband companies (virgin excluded) who all rely on Openreach to deliver connectivity to the home - but the consumer can't talk to Openreach directly.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.

Indeed - and as both meters are reporting fine to the Bright cloud app every 30 mins, I guess all this is working - it's the final step of e.on getting a reading from the gas meter that isn't.
