Hey, I understand that energy prices have gone up nationwide, though I wished to see if this was correct. My bill has gone up from 66 to 102. I barely use enough to merit paying 66 pounds, let alone 102 as I live on my own and I am never home.
Any help would be great.
I also have had notification that my DD is being increased to an amount I am not happy with and no option to change it to what I feel comfortable paying. So what are the options? because all I can see is cancelling the DD and paying as I go along.
Have you checked your bills/account to see what has changed in your tariff(s)? If you're a dual fuel customer a third or more of that increase could easily be the standing charge which has nothing to do with your usage.
I've read my meters every month for years, it's very useful because energy suppliers will forecast what they think you'll use so I can use my own records to check it. It also makes it easier to work out what is the most cost effective tariff for you. My minimal experience of Eon-next has been that they are fairly accurate in forecasting usage but you can't beat keeping on top of it yourself.
