@theunknowntech when I moved into my property, I didn't have an in home display. It's a new build property and I've since asked eon next if they can provide one and they have refused. I want to be able to track my usage but not sure my best option. Could you help please? Thanks.
@Jhosker @theunknowntech is our resident smart meter pro.
Are your meters over a year old? If so, this would be why E.ON Next is unable to provide you with a replacement. Often previous tenants and owners mistakenly take the IHD's with them when they move, thinking they would work in their new property.
We do have usage available on our app, but it's not real-time. Or you could take advantage of an Ivie bud? There are a lot of options in @theunknowntech's original post.
@Beki_EONNext my meters are yes but I never got an in home display when I moved in in 2020. Its a shame as have got to buy one but I understand there's nothing you can do
@Jhosker If the meters themselves were under 12 months we could get one out to you but as they've been there a while, we can't. Have you seen the other options available on this thread titled - Alternative IHD Options by @theunknowntech?
He's otherwise tied up at the moment and not back until New Year, but that is a 2012 model meter with an earlier SMETS1 comms hub. Also looks like Economy 7 or 10 to me. The gas meter is a later model, but also SMETS1.
Are the meters actually working in smart mode and sending readings back to E.On Next?

Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
@retrotecchie ah no worries at all. My apologies. I'm not aware of the meters sending readings to eon next as I have to capture readings myself each month. If I got an ihd, do you know I'd be able to connect it to my meters? Thanks for the help
No. The SMETS1 meters were supplier specific and a newer IHD won't work unless the meters have been adopted by the DCC and are sending readings back. They will also require your tariff rates to be 'pushed' to the meters via the smart network. There are apps such as Hildebrand Bright that can function as an IHD but these get the data from the smart network rather than the meters themselves. No comms - no work.
