The figures for my estimated annual consumption are wildly exaggerated and I am concerned that this will adversely impact the Direct Debit calculations for my account.
I have been with EON for a year now and my actual consumption during that period has been 933 day units and 4478 night units. My latest energy statement shows estimated figures of 10,460 (day) and 3,367 (night) - just ever so slightly out.
I provide full meter readings on a monthly basis so my consumption figures are accurate. Why are my estimated figures so wrong?
From what you say EON have go ti wrong. I had a similar problem with Symbio - but they just would not alter the EAC. But since this did not affect my bills or my DD i just let the matter rest.
contact Eon to reconfirm your DD, which will probably need to rise because of rising energy costs
I have the same problem and have contacted Eon Next but find they do not answer emails including complaints. The annual usage will affect my DD.
As you say, the estimated figures affect the DD calculations and whilst I can cope with it being out by a few pounds, the huge difference between estimate and reality in my case means the DD calculations are going to be astronomical.

I have a similar issue with this year's estimate. I have charged a Phev overnight for past 3 years. Consequently my electricity has been maybe £30 a month extra per month. I changed the car to a self charging hybrid and my electricity usage has dropped drastically. However Eonnext have based my usage on past 12 months, which is wildly over estimated even given the increasing charges. I have tried to explain this via FB messenger as I cannot get to speak to anyone by phone. Iam thinking just let the new charges run for a few months then adjust my DD. I like to be in credit, but do not want to pay hundreds of pounds to much.
@Ashleyman
A brief update - I have been in communication with Beki who has arranged for my estimated annual usage figures to be recalculated based on my actual usage since joining Eon a year ago; this should result in the estimates being far more accurate, which will also be reflected in an accurate monthly DD calculation and reduce the risk of my going into debt!
I also noticed that the figures for night and day and been transposed so my estimated night usage of just over 3,300 units and day usage of nearly 10,500 units made the estimated DD calculations even more out.
Fingers crossed everything will turn out ok in the end!
