Hi I'm in the process of moving to you as my supplier, I don't have smart meters, but would like them, what is the average lead time to get them installed?
Hi @Mcc05 - excited that you're on your way! It depends at the moment where abouts you are in the country. If you're happy to share then I can get a better idea for you. Hat

Hi Hat, yep im in the FY5 postcode parts of the country
I had an appointment to have a smart meter fitted today (over 2 years after I requested one) It has been booked for several weeeks. I took the day off work and moved heavy furniture out of the way to provide easy access, I then waited for the engineer. when he arrived he realised it was residents permit parking on my street (I was not asked about this in advance as I should have been or I would have let them know), he said that since I didn't have a visitors permit for him he couldn't do the job today as it would require 2 men (one to stay in the van to move it if a warden came). I explained that there was also meter parking on the street and all he had to do was put money in and get a ticket, he claimed he had no change and so he would have to leave, which he did. I immediately rang Eon to complain about this and explained the situation and was put on hold for 20 minutes before I rang off and called back later. When I called back I received an apology and £10 credit for being left on hold for 20 mins but was told there was nothing they could do about the meter being installed today. They admitted it was their fault for not asking about parking when the appointment was made (I could have got a visitors permit if I had been warned, although I don't see why I should pay for their parking!) but there was nothing to be done now other than make a new appointment. I refuse to take another day off work because of their incompetence so told them it would have to be an evening or weekend, they said no so I hung up and after 20 odd years I have left Eon and moved to Igloo energy saving an estimated £565 a year in the process! Well played EON that's great customer service.
So I asked my original question on the 27/3 of last month, its now the 17/4, a day off 3 weeks, I know you all must be busy, but I have to say this does not bode well if this is the level of customer service I can expect now that I'm one of your customers!
