balance after meter reading.

Can somebody tell me why money is taken immediately from your balance after entering a meter reading? because it tells you quite clearly that it can take up to 2 days to generate a new bill.

@UKDave51 Heya, Beki here! 👋
I can certainly shed some light on this for you. When you supply a meter reading, your account is always billed up to those latest readings, and so your online account will change almost immediately however your bill, via email or letter, will be received a few day later. 😄
I should not expect more to be taken on Monday, unless you submit a meter reading or if you have smart meters, a reading is sent.
Let me know if this helps or if you have any further questions as I am happy to help 🤗 -
I entered meter readings into the website this morning, that are lower than those on the estimated bill figures. So the balance should reduce - but it has not updated yet. Instead, I got an email saying eonnext would check it against what they are expecting. When will the balance update?

Did mine Saturday, £13 was deducted from my balance within seconds, but no balance update since then.

@Beki 6 days on from sending a manual reading and still no bill, just a small deduction from my balance.

@UKDave51 You had some un-billed readings from the migration which needed to manually approved and the statement was held. I have gone in and corrected this for you and you should receive bills as usual now. 🙌
