Thanks for your patience with my response. I have been taking some much needed annual leave and I'm back and refreshed!
I can check the status of your smart meters to see if they are communicating however we cannot rescheme the IHD's unless they are our own and the smart meters are under 12 months since being fitted.
There are alternative options that @theunknowntech has mentioned in their IHD post here. We have also rolled out a release of the energy usage screen on the app. I do know there has been hiccups with this for some users (possibly android) but our tech team are working to correct this.
I have been trying to get a smart meter for ages but no response. I also have both gas and electricity from Eon and have both accounts on Eon Next but every time I log in it says my accounts are not available!??
I have tried to book an appointment for a Smart Meter but keep getting sent back to the log-in page.
The conclusion from all this is that I have one so called smart meter that is not functioning as a smart meter and two IHDs that are totally useless and only suitable for adding to the redundant electronic device mountain!
My IHD decided to set its self on fire and i have been told i cannot have a replacement. So what is the point in having smart meters if i cannot see what i am using?
Also what is the point of me being registered on eon next venerable persons list if nothing can be done to help me?
Perfectly possible to see exactly what you are using on a non smart meter. The point of smart meters is to provide accurate records of your consumption and to send that data back to your supplier. Anything over and above that functionality is a bonus.
The IHD is not a requirement of the energy industry meter regulations so there is no obligation to replace it out of warranty if it goes wrong.
By all means try using the Bright app on a phone or tablet which will give you a way of monitoring your usage without an IHD.
The priority services register has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with it.

Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
Hi Folks, I have an EDMI SMETS2 meter with SKU1 Cellular comms unit. The meter is working normally in the fact that it sending information to the DCC, I can see this information in various places. The problem I have is that my IHDs keep dropping offline even though the HAN is in theory working, 5s flash. One is a Chameleon, it normally sits in a drawer and comes out when there are issues, at the moment that keeps rebooting itself when it realises it can't connect. The other is a Hildebrand device which I use to transmit data to Home Assistant. This morning the LQI dropped, it recovered but neither IHD will reconnect after that drop. Any ideas?
I think I have located your account and I can see you are not on supply with E.ON Next just yet - in fact your supply is due to start on my birthday! Once we get your meters on board, you can pop us a message over on Whatsapp with all your account details and we can check everything over for you and see what is going on. We are an awesome team and I'm sure one way or another we can work towards a resolution for you.
Please let me know how you get on or if you need any support from myself. 😊
Well funny I should get a reply email from this old thread, being with you awhile now and the IHD you provided (similar to a mobile) is constantly freezing and then you have to unplug and wait till battery dies before plugging back in to get working again. Happens 6-7 times a week at least.
@Spookyville don't know why this has popped up years later but they never did fix it to change tariff like it did when I first got it and it stays on standard variable. The gas has never worked at all. The uswitch app shows the data though. Rather annoying since it used automatically change to the current plan. The IHD sounds similar to mine a mobile phone style that was great having solar panels Now it's just a piece of junk sat the a drawer. IHD's have always been rubbish and IMHO they should not have introduced the Smart Meter Technology until it actually worked. Personally I wish I hadn't got a SMETS2 fitted and certainly wouldn't encourage people to go on Smart meters🤷♂️
