Is anyone else having issues with getting a smart meter fitting. I don’t have an issue having one but they will only fit Monday to Friday 8-4 and both me and my partner work these hours and don’t have family that could come and be here. I’m now getting texts and emails saying how my tariff could be made more expensive if I don’t get one. Given the last few years I resent having to take annual leave to have this done and would be happy for them to come of an evening or weekend. They even went as far as to just book an appointment for me at one point which I then had to cancel.
If I were you I would explain your difficulty to your boss asking for time off, or take a day off for personal problems; you can't lose your job for that!
Eon Next don't do this job themselves, they use a third party contractor who may not be as flexible as required, but hey ho that's life!
@RachelF Hey there, thank you so much for taking the time to post on our Community! With Smart appointments, it all depends on the availability at the time of booking. There can be weekend appointments available however, as you can imagine, these appointments get booked up super fast!
They did not even turn up to the apointment to fit mine and are sending the threatening texts again about arranging for one to be installed otherwise they will change my tariff. I have records so I may give them one more chance but I will go down a legal route if they change my tarriff.
