I’m not sure how/where to feedback bugs in the E.ON Next App (iOS).
There is a bug in the display of the graph of annual usage. By default this displays correctly the cost of energy per month over the year. But if you change the setting to show KWH instead of cost, the graph does not correctly update.
Instead, the height of each bar for each month does not change and the labels on the X axis do not change resulting in a completely nonsense graph that does not match the annual KWH consumption for that year.
Maybe i’m the only one that looks at this for energy consumption instead of just cost 🤔
The bug is consistent and repeatable, and should be easily fixed.
@Tumsk - Unfortunately the Eon app has a reputation for being a bit "flakey", with us users being the final beta testers.
A lot of people use the Bright app as well, which has a much better reputation for accuracy
If you're registered with Bright you can download 13 months of ½ hourly usage from your meter (from their Glowmarkt.com website) in CSV format to do your own spreadsheet analysis
Morning @Tumsk The Android app has the same problem. Looking in the reviews on Google Play I found this contact information which might be worth a try.
@geoffers That app (maybe it's the Android version?) looks entirely different to what I'm seeing. This illustrates the issue when selecting KWh in the Annual view.

Thanks for that @geoffers, I'm not registered but will look into it. I'm about to go Solar + Storage so it all gets alot more useful!
@Tumsk - Yes: Android (newly updated today) I think it's because I'm on Next Drive time of use tariff, so I get the option to view my daily usage per hourly slot, so I get options for day/week/month instead of your month/week/year

If you're a bit of a techie - you can also access your meter data programmatically using the Glowmarkt API , and then integrate with your Solar/battery using MQTT with Home assistant etc
I did a bit of a write up here where I use a Unix CRON command to schedule a program running on a raspberryPi to do daily reads via the API from my meter data, which I then store in a MySQL database, meaning I can validate my bills in the matter of seconds every month
I can see you've mentioned your having issues with the app, is it still ongoing? we understand there have been a few ongoing issues with the app and it is something we're working to improve.
I can of course reach out to our app team and see if they are able to investigate this for you or have you tried the above suggested by @geoffers 😊

Yes, the app issue outlined above and illustrated in the screenshot is ongoing. It’s only the Annual View that behaves (misbehaves) this way. It is consistent and easily replicated (with a non TOU tariff).
if you could forward the info to the app team then hopefully that will help them squash that bug as it should be quite straightforward to spot where the error is in the code that incorrectly plots the x-axis scaling and labels for that specific view.
in the meantime I have signed up to get the raw meter consumption data through “Bright” as suggested by @geoffers
