    Hey community 👋

We've got an exciting opportunity for you to join a ground breaking energy trial with us!

"What's in it for me?" I hear you ask!

Well, if selected - you'll receive a tailored energy package which may include:
    • Solar panels
    • Battery storage
    • Heat pump
    • EV charger
    • Home insulation
    • Smart energy management system
You'll help shape the future of home energy and even better you'll pay just a fraction of the cost during the trial, with no upfront costs!

This is not a sales pitch or an offer, it's a genuine research partnership!

We're recruiting 20 households to take part in this innovation trial. You'll help us test what really works and more importantly where we need to improve. You know we love your feedback! 🤩

At the end of the 12 month trial you'll get to keep your low carbon technologies and continue your service with us for great value energy, along with your sustainable house! Alternatively you can move to another supplier (but we'd be sad to see you go 😔).

To take part, you must meet the following criteria to be considered:

    • Own your own home - which will likely be end of terrace, semi or detached, with a driveway for an EV charger (if you have an EV) as well as space for a heat pump and battery.
    • Ideally you'll be an existing customer of E.ON Next or be willing to switch!
    • Have a working smart meter.
    • Live in West, Central or East Midlands
We'd especially love to hear from you already have some existing low carbon technologies like a heat pump or a battery for example!

You don't need to be thinking about getting an EV as you can still take advantage of this collaboration with just solar, battery and air source heat pump if you don't own an EV 🚙

    Interested?

Apply now by completing this simple form 👉 E.ON Next Gen Home Trial

    What happens next?

After you've filled in the form our E.ON Next Gen Home trial team will get back in touch with you within 5 days - They will let you know if they have further questions or if you've been successful in moving to the next stage.

Don't worry if you don't qualify for this trial, this is just the start!

We'll be keeping the community posted on how the trial develops and when you can get involved again!

    Why only Midlands?
As it's a trial Eon Next's registered office in Coventry might be the clue 😉. Keeping everything close to home.

@Sabagnes I'm not 100% sure why this area was chosen, I suppose it is possible like @WizzyWigg has said we are registered in Coventry so it makes sense and I guess we have to start somewhere! 😊

@DebF_EONNext - this is awesome, I'm a bit behind on reading through the community posts. 💪

Great to see this kind of energy trial being pushed forward. Great to see renewable generation and co-located storage being tested by actual customers.

I love to see the utilisation of batteries, heat pumps and solar panels.
The battery is an absolute win for me, I'm a massive believer in the investment of wind, hydro and anaerobic digestion - not everybody can have these renewable generations at home!
But, with the battery, it makes the storage of green energy easy for people.
These three sources don't worry about if it's dark at night, they keep going - filling batteries overnight when there is less pull on the grid.

Absolute win, great trial - and great read!
