New e.on next home app not starting charge (either scheduled or boost)

Since the e.on next home app was updated in the last couple of days, I have been unable to charge our EV with it. The regular scheduled charge at midnight did not start, not did manual boosts. I tried unlinking and re-linking the charger to the app, resetting the charger itself, to no avail.

The settings in the charger are fine (including OCPP ones) as far as I could tell and the app could "see" the charger as well as the state of charge of the EV.

I had to resort using the Monta app to regain use of the charger. The old app was working fine.

Has anyone experienced issues with the new app and/or found a workaround?

The EV is a Fiat 500e if it matters.

@Hitchhiker same. The app has purged all my details and I can't see my charger charging or the history. The old app was fine! this one with new yellow icon is just not showing anything connected.

I have raised this issue with e.on next and was told to contact the EV team, but frankly, I will keep using the Monta Charge app, so long as it keeps working and avoid software from e.on. It took ages to get the old app working (after having to make adjustments in the charger's own setup pages), and when I did finally get it to work reliably, e.on broke everything again with the new app. My wife relies on the EV to get to work, and she cannot risk missing work because of e.on's untrustworthy software. I deeply regret getting an EV charger from e.on. Should have gone independent as with our solar system and battery, which has given us zero problems.
