Just been looking at my latest bill and am I right in thinking that the tariffs have been swapped i.e off peak should be peak and peak should be off peak ?
You would need to compare previous bills to see where the error occurred.
Submiting your own regular readings online every month rather than leaving it so long between readings may have helped spot any errors earlier, but you will need to look at previous bills and readings to see if rates have been transposed at some point.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
certainly looks like it to me. Have you looked at previous statements to see how long it’s been going on?
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
That will need a phone call to customer services on Monday then. I assume you moved to Eon from a different supplier at the property? These things can happen unfortunately, but customer services should be able to correct this for you and re-bill accordingly 👍
I think it's always been Eon as the meter is branded Eon. I've now spoken to them and they think the peak & off peak readings are swapped, rather than the tariffs, but I don't know how to check. Pressing the blue button on the meter to show the readings doesn't show any value thats anything like the readings on the bill.

Perhaps , but the labels are clear and the prices are reversed.

Yes. But they've now issued a new bill where they've changed it so that the off peak which used to read 18988 @ 30p and peak was 7896 @ 16p now reads
peak 18988 @ 30p and off peak 7896 @ 16p
I’d check that rate 1 and rate 2 are now being correctly reported as they should be. There is no guarantee that it’s now correct - we’ve had quite a few examples of it being wrong.

@davidn That's still wrong surely? Presumably you have electric heating, therefore the highest reading of 18988 should be off peak and at the cheaper rate of 16p.
