I wonder if the apparent lack of posts over the last few days is simply the fact that most were Spam posts or is it that people are fed up with the forums lack of a secure foundation.

I think they’ve stopped a lot of posts. An unintended consequence of the moderation is that they can obviously now control what gets posted. My post about moving to Octopus and how positive an experience it was didn’t get approved obviously. I bet this won’t either
