I have just occupied an account and I'm on the contract-free NextFlex tariff for now.

Using the tariff search page at https://www.eonnext.com/tariff-search, and after entering my postcode, I saw that there are two identically-named NextFlex tariffs with different standing charges and unit rates for electricity, Eco7 and gas:

Electricity:
Unit Rate 18.9p and 19.91p
Standing charge 23.32p and 27.79p

Eco7 Electricity
Day unit rate 21.48p and 22.37p
Night unit rate 11.54p and 12.5p
Standing charge 23.4p and 27.87p

Gas Tariff
Unit rate 3.46p and 3.64p
Standing charge 26.6p and 31.23p

Does anyone have any idea why this is? There are not Ts & Cs posted for any tariff, hence my question. I'm currently on the NextFlex with the higher rates rather tax the one with lower rates, so looking to switch...

The two different prices tend to reflect the payment method; paying by Direct Debit is the cheaper of the two :)

@Andrew The Direct Debit version is £45 per fuel cheaper.

No there is no discount for paper billing as this comes as standard.

In general, what is the discount for Direct Debit on Next Flex then? It seems to vary between Standing Charges and Unit Rates, about 15% for the former and between 1 and 8% for the latter.

Also, is there a discount for paperless billing, as there was for pre-E.ON Next customers?
