@retrotecchie I have been chatting with @PeterT_EONNext. We believe that customers who have an EV tariff will be charged at 5% just like any other residential tariff as it is in the home.
Businesses on the other hand who might install EV charge points in their car park for instance the supermarkets, will be charged at 20% VAT. These are usually "fast chargers" (with a higher input than what's available at home, or your car would be there for hours 👀) as this runs off the business' supply, this will be charged to both the supermarket and the customer at 20%, just the same as buying our shopping and they charge us the 20% VAT.
If however we do hear anything different I will make sure we get the Community updated with the relevant info 😊
Will the tariff charge 20% VAT on electricity used as a 'road fuel'? This is currently the case for all public charging points.

We've had a good ol' chin-wag about this, and I think with it all being so new/up and coming, changes may or may not happen in relation to the costs of public EV charge points.
I must say, I'm personally interested to see how the model for it all changes as time goes on, as we focus on a more sustainable future!
