Hi I've had a engineer come today to install my smart PAYG meter for my electric while he was waiting to get it set up he told me that the systems were down so he's had to put my old PAYG meter back in I'm wanting to know the reason why it couldn't be installed

There could be a number of reasons why the install failed, if you are unsure then you can get in touch with our energy specialists and they will be able to find out for you and give you a bit more information 😊 It doesn't always mean that you can't have smart meters sometimes it could be system issues on our side or as @gbhxu has mentioned signal or communication issues, our energy specialists can let you know more 😃

I know people that can't have a smart meter because they can't get a signal
