What have we been up to in the past couple of months?

Hi everyone, how are you all doing?

As it is the end of September, I wanted to take a minute to think about what has happened in the past couple of months.

We have been so busy recently and inundated with messages that I just wanted to take a couple of minutes to recap what has been happening within the Community too! We really love to see you all chatting and supporting one another on the Community - I would even say it’s the highlight of my day! In August, the team took the road and shouted about the amazing Community. We spoke about the Community in general, its role for our Energy Specialists and for our members, the conversations that are taking place and how, thanks to all of you, we are creating a bridge between the members and E.ON Next.

If you've been around you might have noticed new cool things:

    • We added new little icons to each category on the forum homepage to help you navigate your way through the Community.
    • Questions with no answer widget - you can check here for unanswered threads that you might be able to support with.
    • We introduced the Sustainable Board in the forum.

The idea behind the Sustainable Future boardwas to create a space for you guys to use how you wanted it, sharing ideas about sustainable living or energy tips or even talking about appliances such as solar panels and heat pumps or the experience of getting these fitted in your own home. I am sure that we will learn so much from each other, so please, use this space to share your thoughts on any topic around sustainability!

To add on how amazing you all are, we know that August and especially September weren’t going to be easy months for many of us due to the release of the new prices from Price Cap which we know can cause stress and anxiety. As a team we have tried our best to address the matter and give support with our£400 energy bills discount announcement post in which we talked about all the different sorts of support that our customers can reach out for.
Also, we have done something similar about theEnergy Price Guarantee, where the government put a stop to the overall increase of the price cap for the next two years. On both these posts, seeing how you all interacted and supported each other, made me feel so proud to be part of such a great community, where people feel free to express their opinions, to support and be kind. I can say we are lucky to have that here!

That being said, we want to hear from you!!
What do you think? Have we achieved giving you all the information in a clear and effective way? We are always open to feedback and ways of improving, so let us know how we did below 👇

If you haven't seen the posts around on the Community, we are heading into our second year - and what an amazing two years they have been?! I simply cannot describe in words how excited I am that we have grown so much together; right now we are over 10K Members in our community! We are all so grateful to be able to share this forum with you all that we have created a whole thread dedicated to this achievement.

You might have seen on the team signatures anevent brite link which leads to the Community Event that we are Hosting on the 7th of October 2022. Yes, we will be on camera and you all can see our lovely faces! Doesn’t that sound amazing?😉

We are celebrating the power of our Community, our fantastic members and sharing with you our future plans! We have a great line up for you including:

    • Meeting the Community Team,
    • A slide show of our best moments so far,
    • Community Member Awards,
    • A chance to win an E.ON Next Community goodie bag,
    • A special guest speaker and Q&A session.

You are still in time to grab one and come along! We would love to see you there!

And finally, I would like to give a shout out to @JoeSoap who has been upskilling his IT skills and navigating his way around the Community. To @JoeSoap, if you feel like there's anything that needs to be added on the getting startedguide on the community, feel free to add to it and reach out if there is anything we can help you with at all!

I hope to see you all at the event on the 7th! 🗓
    Speak to you soon,
    Benedetta

Thanks, when I find some IT stuff I could do with mastering I’ll be asking for tuition or writing an Idiots Guide… for myself to refer-to of course.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
