I'm looking to buy an energy monitor to see how much electricity each of my appliances uses. Has anyone any experience of these and can recommend where to look?
I particularly want one that will link to my smart electricity meter (e.on), such as the Ivie Bud that I have seen on Amazon.

Thanks for this. I've investigated the Ivie Bud and it looks to be compatible with my SMETS1 meter. I've ordered it from the official site (with a £5 discount from e.on - how nice) so I'll see how well it actually works.
I personally think you only need to measure appliances consumption once, they're not likely to change much ever. I bought a through monitor into which you plug your 3 pin and it measures the consumption of that appliance. Cost £15. Go round appliances in turn. Freezer followed by fridge are my recommendations.
