Hello All,
Noticed in todays bill that £713 had been taken to cover gas for a YEAR. The monthly bill appears to only have had electricity on it. So today they took a years worth of gas payment. Anyone else had this issue?
account is very much in debit now, if I’d have known the monthly amount was so much different I could have adjusted the monthly direct debit to compensate.
I've never had anything like that myself although there have been similar posts one here, usually linked to smart meters.
Is your Gas Meter a smart meter?
It really does pay to take a few minutes each month and check your bills, check that the meter reads are actual and not estimated. Even if they are actual it's worth checking the readings on your meters as well. Now that you've finally been billed for your gas make sure that the meter reading is correct.
