Moved into house with FIT from Eon and can't get an account

    Hi there

I've just moved into a house with solar panels, and the previous owners had a FIT account with Eon.

I've tried setting up my account, but Eon just redirect me to Eon Next, who don't have any record of the FIT installation and say they can't help until it's been transferred across to them - but they can't tell me how long this will take.

    Can anyone help?!

    Thanks,
    Paul

    Morning @paulmug,

Welcome to the community & for taking some time to post.

Did you know that we have a dedicated FIT team? You can contact them on 0808 501 5218 their lines are open 9-5pm Monday-Thursday 9-4pm Friday. They should be able to tell you if this has been migrated over yet & help you get set up 😊

    Hi Deb

Thanks very much for your reply. I did call that number, but they told me that the account hadn't been migrated and they didn't know when it would be.

The problem is that I don't actually have an account to be migrated - that still belongs to the previous owner of the house.

So how will I know when their account has been migrated, so that I can then set up my own account?!

    I hope this makes sense...!

    Thanks again

EON have forms for Transfer of Ownership. I went through this myself after completing a house move last October.I was lucky that the previous owner instigated the transfer to me, but even then had quite a lot of hassle getting the transfer completed. Eventually had to ask my solicitor to write a letter confirming the solar panels were included in the sale. You have the added issue that there's been a transfer of schemes over to EON Next, but doesn't sound like that's happened in your case yet, so I would start with EON and see if you can get the ball rolling to transfer ownership to you.Good luck!

Thank you! The problem is that I can't actually speak to anyone at Eon - when I call their number I get a recorded message telling me to contact Eon Next. Who, of course, can't help me!Is there any way of speaking to someone at Eon, do you know?
