I was wondering if anyone is experiencing the same. Since months I get regular emails from eon next asking me to book an appointment to get a smart meter installed. A couple of weeks ago I even had a very kind lady calling me asking me if I wanted one. And today I got a text on my mobile too. What’s the problem you may wonder??
I’m very keen to get a smart meter installed but the outcome is always the same: “ There are no available appointments.”
I think there is a shortage of engineers to fit them. Plus they like to do several in the same are so if they are not already scheduled to be in your are then they can't assign an engineer to you.
Personally, I'm in the other camp - my tariff terms require me to accept a smart meter and i don't want one. So your post provides me with some cheer.
