Hello all

Since the change to Eon next, our previously reliable smart meters have stopped working. We are being chased to send in meter readings ourselves, but can't. ( and therefore we are much in credit on the account)

When I press the A button, it says Vend Mode. ( and if I then press B it says rejected)
When I press the B button, it says Credit, then Using now, then Cost now. But no further types of readings, so no ongoing balance that I can enter online.

( this is from the actual meters, we haven't seen or used an IHD for years)

I already raised one query by email before Christmas and was told it would be sent to the smart meter team on Christmas eve. Since then I've heard nothing. So I thought I'd try on here.

You've been given the wrong instructions. The ones you found don't apply to Secure Liberty meters. Try pressing 9 instead. You should see IMP KWH and a series of numbers - this is the reading you're after.

If you have Economy 7, you'll want to press 6 instead and cycle through until you get to IMP R01 for your Night reading and then press 6 again until you reach IMP R02 for your Day reading.

Now I'm just wondering if I can get them back online sending automatic readings as before? Is this something Beki can help with?

No worries. :)

The meters you have should come back online eventually automatically, but there's nothing anyone can do to speed this process up. The best estimates I've got is your meters should reconnect via DCC by the end of this year, possibly faster. You'll know once the readings resume as you'll start to see them appear in your account. In the meantime, please make sure to submit manual readings to keep your account on track.
