Just a little more information required so we can help answer your query in more detail, Was there a specific query you had relating to your smartview2 smart meter or IHD unit and being on the Next Smart Saver Fixed 12m V28?
As this is a time of use tariff, which collects data from your smart meter every half hour.

Yes, this statement on your sign-up to this tariff, you already use my smart meter, why would this tariff stop it working???
You accept that your In-Home Smart Display will stop working.
Due to the way this tariff works your In-Home Display will stop working. However, you will be able to keep up to date with your usage through our app.
If after you sign up to this tariff we cannot connect to your smart meter, we may need to transfer you on to a standard tariff such as Next Flex whilst we work with you to resolve the issue with your meter. This is so we can bill you for your energy usage until the issue is resolved.
@Billyjojimbob - it's just extremely poorly worded description - the IHD does not stop working.
It continues to report the actual kWh energy usage, but it's unable to calculate/display the cost of energy usage at different times in these more complex tariffs, so they should rewrite their tariff description to explain this more clearly
I totally understand it does sound a little confusing and makes you think that your IHD unit will completely stop working, however as @geoffers mentioned it will still work showing your energy usage but just not a break down using the off peak timings/rates when your on a time of use tariff.
We totally take your feedback onboard and I will be sure to pass this on to our web team. If there is anything else you need please let me know. 💜
How about:
"For dynamic Time of Use tariffs, it is not possible to correctly match the rates displayed on the IHD with the billing rates.
For Next Drive Fixed and Next Smart Saver Fixed, it is perfectly possible, but we choose not too.
As a result, the IHD will display wildly incorrect costs and because we've put a disclaimer in the terms and conditions, we've washed our hands of it - instead, please make use of our app with all data 48 hours out of date."

There are examples on the interweb where the meters do seem to have been correctly set up with variable rates & change times, with the IHD showing the current rate and the countdown time to the next rate change
This for instance with the green minus down arrow is indicating a change to a lower rate in 10 minutes.
I did query a while back for an explanation, but got no response 🫤
