We recently had solar panels and a battery pack installed, complete with online monitoring, so will we also have to have a smart meter installed in order to claim Smart Export Guarantee payments or can the online monitoring portal be used instead?
For a lot of SEG tariffs, they do require a meter that can take half-hourly readings. While a smart meter is generally considered the best way to achieve this, it's not the be all and end all - there are specific "export meters" which can record this.
