if you are on a RTS service you should be notified by you supplier before it stops functioning. But the shut down was due to be completed by June 2026 - next month. But the communication has been vague to say the lest - last year the message was get a smart meter by June 2025 or you’ll be in all sorts of difficulties, which can now be viewed as deliberately misleading. Can you explain why you are asking?

Does anybody know if the Radio Teleswitch has been switched off in the East Midlands/Leicestershire area yet and when it was switched off?
While you're waiting for the official reply, I'd just remark that it's not quite as simple as that. Every RTS signal contains routing information specifying which groups of meters should act on it, so if the group your meter is in isn't included, your meter won't react. A group of meters might consist of one from each of a number of power lines, so your meter might be cut off before your neighbour's. It's the DNO (in your case NGED) that controls the signal for meters on its network, and I don't know whether any DNO has cut it completely yet.
However, the transmitter 'may' remain on, broadcasting the carrier signal with no content for a little while longer, but no idea.
Also, I do hope they've reminded the nuclear submarine Captains about the switch off...
I suppose the question is whether all those 400k are actually in use, or whether the equipment just exists in consumer homes. Record keeping on this hasn't been the greatest.

The 14 control groups - do they equate to the 14 electricity regions?
I don't think we've had recent issues with customers on E7 (E10?) so can we assume its all proceeding but at a slow pace. And electric smart meter installations of all types are about 700,000 per quarter which presumably covers RTS affected meters within that total. So it will be some time before its all complete.
