But we also have solar panels ( no battery) so should we be on a tariff that deals with both EV and also Solar export ?
Correct tariff ?

Best Answer@Shawfield - do you have a Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) agreement with EOn? If so I think you should have 2 separate accounts: 1 for your standard import (Next Drive if you have an EV) and another for export (probably with a separate MPAN relating to export)
I'm not fully up to speed on all this, but EOn have 3 different Seg tariffs of 17.5p, 13p or 6p depending on various criteria

Unfortunately there were a lot of upset customers jumping ship from EOn to better suppliers, when EOn dropped their standard Seg export tariff from 16.5p to 6p for anyone with an EV/ToU tariff. (This was probably because customers were charging their batteries overnight at cheap-rate (say 7.5p) then exporting it at 16.5p)
There is a good "E.On Next Drive/EV/Battery/Solar/Export users" FB group here which you can search for similar information, or ask for help/advice https://www.facebook.com/groups/1173953470447091Last edited by geoffers; 10-04-26 at 21:34.
