Happy Holy Week to those celebrating 🎉

Holy Week for Christians is the solemn final week of Lent, beginning on Palm Sunday and ending Easter Sunday. It commemorates the last week of Jesus’ life in Jerusalem, including his entry into the city, Judas's betrayal, the Last Supper, crucifixion, burial and finally the resurrection. It is a time of intense prayer, reflection, and special services.

Yesterday was Palm Sunday 🌿which marks Jesus's triumphant entry into Jerusalem where thousands gathered to lay down their palm leaves in adoration and shouted "Hosanna, Hosanna to the Son of David" - read Matthew 21:1-11

Daily Timeline of Holy week!

• Palm Sunday (March 29, 2026): Commemorates Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem on a donkey, welcomed by crowds waving palm branches.
• Holy Monday(March 30): Jesus clears the Temple of merchants and moneylenders.
• Holy Tuesday (March 31): Jesus teaches in the Temple and debates with religious leaders.
• Holy Wednesday(April 1): Known as "Spy Wednesday," it commemorates Judas Iscariot’s agreement to betray Jesus.
• Maundy Thursday (April 2): Commemorates the Last Supper, the institution of the Eucharist, and the washing of the disciples' feet.
• Good Friday (April 3): A day of solemn reflection on the crucifixion, death, and burial of Jesus.
• Holy Saturday (April 4): A day of silent, prayerful anticipation (Vigil) before the resurrection.
• Easter Sunday (April 5): Celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
