Hi,
New to the forum so please correct me if I'm posting in the wrong area...
I've just switched to Next Drive Smart v5.4. To allow smart charging I need to set it up by connecting my car. I've checked that the car model (BMW i4 40) is supported, but when I try to connect I get an error message. The message seems to come from BMW, and says "An error has occurred while trying to login. Please try again later. Reason: No OAuth details stored for state."
I have tried on several occasions over several days. I've reset the car's iDrive, cleared the cache on the My Bmw app and my default browser. Still the same.
Does this ring bells with anyone?
Ta, Steve
As you're on a Next drive the app may not always display the exact charges until your statement has been issued due to half hourly data to be updated. However fear not I will check with our EV/app team to confirm if this should be updated. 😊

I can see your having issues with smart charging your car, now it's not an issue I've come across before but fear not I am just reaching out to our EV team to see if there able to support on this and tagged a couple of our lovely members @rwh202 @geoffers to see if they know a fix!
Even if you cleared your cache, the app might be triggering a "mini-browser" (WebView) that doesn't share data with your main Chrome or Safari app, have you tried changing your phone's Default Browser temporarily. If you're on iPhone, switch from Safari to Chrome (or vice versa). On Android, try switching from the built-in Samsung/Phone browser to Chrome. Then, restart the E.ON app and try the connection again.

Sorry, can't help with this one other than to suggest checking that the car's app can connect fine and that there aren't any settings there to enable 3rd party access or data sharing - I don't have a BMW but a VW and the German companies take data sharing / privacy very seriously with explicit permission required for everything.
@rwh202 thank you for your response! 😊
@Steve944 please let us know how your getting on, I have also popped you a dm just to get a couple of account details so I can reach out to our EV team.
@rwh202
Many thanks, I think you're on the right track and that it's and issue between eon and BMW to do with data sharing. I did manage to reach someone on the Eon EV team this afternoon and they're passing it to their technical support team to look into.
Fingers crossed..
