Hi dear fellas i just noticed something wrong with my meter reading for december statement it costs me over £80 i already told E.ON staff to resolve the actual meter reading they says this is correct so my question is anyone like me overcharged for december time i think it's wrong!
@Rawa - are you billed based on the usage calculated from the difference between the current and previous monthly meter "total" values, or as the title suggests billed on the ½ hourly Time of Use (tou) values. (Actually: think "tou" is probs a typo for "you" in the title 🤣)
The resultant consumption value will (should) be the same, but the actual method of capture is different.
You can register with the Bright app, then download your kWh consumption values directly from the meter (via the DCC) from their parent website glowmarkt.com to do your own independent bill calculation to confirm your billing is correct or not.
I've been doing this on my ½ hourly ToU readings for 2½ years, and the billing has been 💯 % correct
assuming this is a smart meter, is the latest reading an estimate?
do you use an app like bright? If so you can check the reported consumption for the month ( a total of 48 half hourly consumptions for 31 days.
wham ales you think the reading is incorrect/ wrong? It’s not impossible but it is fairly rare.

I am glad to see you have managed to resolve this by the support from our lovely members, is the bright app something you are using to monitor your usage? How's it all working for you? 😊
