It's that Friday feeling, and this week we are celebrating National Tree Week! 🌳
National Tree Week 2025 will be taking place from November 22nd to November 30th! This annual event, organised by The Tree Council and its partners, is the UK's biggest tree-planting celebration with this year celebrating it's 50th anniversary the theme for National Tree Week 2025 is "A Future Filled with Trees."
The week encourages the public to participate in tree planting, educational events, and activities to appreciate the importance of trees. Along with marking the start of winter tree planting season. It really makes us think about the importance of trees and how they are a part of our everyday life.
As you Know Eon Next recently partnered up with the Woodland trust, our teams have been busy in the Martinshaw Woods, Leicester to see ancient woodland restoration in action.
Their mission? Tackling invasive Rhododendron. I am sure it was hard work, but seeing the clear, green space they have created was incredible which is now ready for new Trees to be planted! 🌲

As part of our partnership with the Woodland Trust our teams across the business are getting ready to plant new trees on the 13th January at Fairfield in the West Midlands! No doubt it’ll be cold but will be a great way to start the year with new trees in the ground!
As we celebrate national tree week it's hard not to think of the UKs most iconic tree - The Sycamore Gap Tree, which stood proudly beside Hadrians wall for centuries. It's loss in 2023 really touched people across the country, including members of our Community! However its great to hear that the BBC Report discovered signs of life have been found growing from the stump.
